Alayo. is a Miami-based singer/songwriter, musician, and producer whose soulful sound invites listeners on a captivating journey through her life and artistry. Born in New York City, her music reflects a deep connection to her roots, combining raw emotion with intricate melodies that resonate with audiences on a personal level.

Alayo.’s musical journey began at the age of 9, when she started taking guitar lessons and performing in her school’s choir. As she honed her craft, she attended a performing arts high school from 11th to 12th grade, where she not only refined her vocal skills but also taught herself to write and produce her own songs. In 2013, Alayo. formed the band Nostalgic Minds alongside her classmate, Femily. The band quickly made a name for themselves, performing on prominent platforms such as Telemundo, NBC 6’s In the Mix, and even being featured on the popular app, HQ Trivia.

During the pandemic, Alayo. released her debut solo album, Clouds in the Room, which received critical acclaim for its introspective and genre-blending sound. She also wrote the title track for the independent film Underneath, which won ‘Best Song’ at the prestigious Vegas Movie Awards. In addition to her solo work, she is currently working on her next album and producing the debut project for Miami’s rising powerhouse vocalist, Jezzivette.

Her approach to music is as dynamic as it is unique, blending elements of soul, R&B, and alternative sounds in a way that feels fresh and exciting. In 2022, Alayo. was selected as a Beat Battle Award Winner by the acclaimed band Hiatus Kaiyote, who chose her remix of their song “Get Sun” as a winner in their competition—solidifying her place as a trailblazer in the music world.

With her heart rooted in South Florida, Alayo. is poised to become one of the defining voices of the next generation of artists. She’s an artist to watch and one whose influence is sure to expand far beyond the Miami music scene.
